Embroidered Chiffon Cloak
hold
Ethereal looking and lovely, this fully-functioning cloak is designed to
enhance whatever formal gown you choose to wear, while still adding a
touch of elegance.  Made of the lightest chiffon, the cloak has embroidered
Celtic knotwork all along the edge and the deep hood, done in a coordinating
color to the gown.  A favorite of brides, it can also be modified to become a
train for a wedding gown or a contemporary alternative to a veil.  Closes in
the front with chiffon covered buttons and a silk knot closures.

John and Rhonda
hold
John and Rhonda wanted to have a Celtic wedding to honor their
heritage, John being Scottish and  Rhonda being Irish. We were able to
locate a match to his 20 year old Fraser kilt (which was his father's)
and crafted a box-pleated skirt for Rhonda.  We also made a lovely 3/4
length sleeve white linen blouse and coordinating gold silk dupioni
wrap jacket edged in the tartan. Rhonda was a truly lovely bride.

Our final item for this project was a handfasting ribbon that John
asked us to make for the ceremony.  We used a thin strip of John's
Fraser tartan with his name embroidered to join with a strip of the All
Ireland Blue tartan with Rhonda's name (to recognize her Celtic
heritage). We embroidered their wedding date where the two fabrics
came together.  The meshing of the two tartans turned out to be a
lovely reminder of their special day

We wish them many years of happiness!
Harley-Davidson® Ribbon Edge Wedding Dress

This unusual and eye-catching wedding dress was inspired by
Harley-Davidson® motorcycles.  Unmistakable black,orange, and
white tartan pipe the bodice and edge the detachable train.  Layers
of white on white tartan make up the sexy "mini" kilt.  The jewelry
and belt buckle were also custom beaded to coordinate with the
Harley theme.  Definitely  a gown for the Bold and the Beautiful!

Coordinating Flower Girl Dress
hold
Wearing a black velvet top and a  taffeta
tartan dress, our flower girl was fitting
company for our bride.

Two-Piece Corset Dress

This beautiful dress was the highlight of the 2007 Tartan
Fashion Show at the Scottish Ramble in St. Paul, MN.

The dress consists of a simple empire waist style cream silk
gown and a gorgeous silk bodice.  We used shirred silk along
the bodice to soften the appearance of the corset.  The
hemline is tapered in front to a gentle train in back. The
corset is fully-boned and made of solid silk tartan.  The corset
is beautifully laced in back adding lovely detail to the piece.
A bouquet of stunning handcrafted silk flowers added the
final touch.
Renaissance Wedding Gown
hold
Pure luxury, our Renaissance Wedding Gown is crafted of decadent
brown, gold, and turquoise silks.  The separate bodice has a center
beaded and embroidered panel with embroidered edging. The full silk
lining is heavenly against the skin and closes with silk laces.  The split
style skirt has an underskirt of gold embroidered silk, with an over
skirt of rich brown dupioni silk trimmed with 6 inch wide turquoise
hand beaded jacquard ribbon.  A careful alignment of the vertical
elements further accentuates a shapely silhouette, while the light
boning and separate pieces allow for all day comfort and all night
celebrating.
